In British Columbia, to get your documents authenticated, the notarized document must be signed, dated, and sealed by a B.C. Notary Public who is already on file with the BC Service.
It's important to note that documents must be notarized by the notary in their capacity as a notary, not as a commissioner for taking affidavits or any other non-notary designation. Any documents signed or sealed in their capacity as an non-notary designation will not be authenticated.
